 Self-drying silicone resin for coating
1. Specifications and models
This product is high temperature resistant self-drying silicone resin CG862, a benzyl silicone resin solution.
2. Product performance
This product is self-drying under normal temperature conditions and has good self-drying properties. This is particularly advantageous for the preparation of self-drying coatings for large equipment and workpieces that cannot be baked, and can be continuously produced on a large scale. Even if baking and drying are needed, the baking temperature is 180°C and the time is 1 hour, which saves energy compared to the benzyl silicone resin (usually 200°C or more) that is generally used for high temperature resistant coatings.
This product has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures. Pure resin can be used for a long time in the range of -50℃~300℃. It can be equipped with insulating paint above H level. It is better than general benzyl silicone resin to prepare high temperature resistant coatings.
This product has excellent radiation resistance and can be used to configure high temperature and radiation resistant coatings for nuclear power plants.
This product has good adhesion, high impact strength and better electrical properties than ordinary silicone resins.
3. Main purpose
This product can be used as H-class insulating paint, high temperature resistant release agent, especially can be formulated as high temperature resistant coating, widely used in aviation, aerospace, automobile, chemical industry and other industrial fields. Such as: airplane, automobile, motorcycle engine and exhaust pipe inner wall, muffler. Flue gas, boiler, electric stove, grill, natural gas, gas stove, cement roaster. High temperature resistant protective coatings used in high temperature equipment such as petroleum cracking furnaces.

1 Overview
Silicone resin is a polymethylphenyl branched prepolymer formed by co-hydrolysis and condensation of methylchlorosilane and phenylchlorosilane, and contains certain hydroxyl groups. Xylene is used as a solvent. Generally, the factory product is a xylene solution containing polymer ≥56%. When used, it is dried to further condense the hydroxyl group to form a paint film with certain hardness.
2. Product performance
Silicone resin has excellent electrical insulation properties, arc corona resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and water and moisture resistance. Its weathering resistance, ozone resistance and chemical stability are also excellent. Class H motors and electrical appliances made of silicone resin as insulating materials can be used under various harsh conditions and have the advantages of small size, light weight, long life, and strong overload capacity. Even if the overload is destroyed, violent combustion will not occur, and the gas emitted by combustion is non-toxic. The residue after combustion is silica with insulating properties, which is not easy to cause serious damage.
3. Main purpose
Mainly used as dipping varnish for coils of motors and transformers.
4. Packaging and storage
This product is packaged in 20, 100, 200kg galvanized iron drums, and can be packaged according to user needs.
This product should be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse to prevent direct sunlight, prevent acid and alkaline gas and liquid contamination, and should be isolated from fire sources and away from heat sources.
This product is transported as flammable products.
5. Matters needing attention
(1) The diluent solvent used for silicone resin must not contain water, sulfur compounds, pyridine and other impurities, otherwise it will affect the adhesion, dryness and other properties of the silicone resin paint film.
(2) During the processing of silicone resin, a large amount of flammable, explosive and toxic solvents such as toluene and xylene (941) will evaporate. Attention should be paid to strengthen the ventilation of the operation site, pay attention to fire prevention, and strictly cut off the source of fire. Operators should pay attention to labor protection.
(3) During the processing of silicone resin, the equipment and utensils used must be clean, and the mixing and introduction of dust and foreign matter must be strictly prevented, otherwise the electrical insulation performance of the product will be reduced.
(4) Compounds such as acids, alkalis, organic acid salts and amines have the effect of accelerating the curing of silicone resins, and affect heat resistance and electrical properties. Therefore, silicone resin should be strictly isolated from these substances.
